Driving Innovation, Shaping Care, Saving Lives.

Founded in 2000 as the Acute Dialysis Quality Initiative, and later rebranded as the Acute Disease Quality Initiative, ADQI is a non-profit, member run organization whose intent is to “provide an objective, dispassionate distillation of the literature and description of the current state of practice of diagnosis and management of acute kidney injury as well as other conditions in which dialysis and related therapies are applied to acutely ill patients.”

ADQI is an international, interdisciplinary organization with over 150 members from leading universities around the world. ADQI membership includes adult and pediatric nephrologists, intensivists, cardiologists, surgeons, hepatologists, radiologists, toxicologists, pharmacists, nurses and medical informaticists.

ADQI sets new standards for diagnosis and management of acute kidney injury and related disorders. With over 30 publications, ADQI’s impact on future research is significant as is its direct effect on clinical practice.

The 18th ADQI was organized by RCS in Hyderabad in September 2016, for the first time in Asia. 18th ADQI specifically focused on the management of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) in developing countries, with a key emphasis on the challenges and strategies for treating AKI in regions with limited resources; this conference was centered around the theme of “Management of Acute Kidney Injury in the Developing World”.

Continuing our tradition, we organized the 32nd ADQI consensus conference, marking the second time this esteemed event was held in India. This conference focused on making recommendations for current practice and for future research around Obstetric AKI.
